What the preorder bonus actually was
The digital preorder bonus was small and cosmetic-plus-currency: the Brown Shiba Skin for Koo and 30,000 Amber. That is the whole list — no exclusive weapon, no quest, no stat item. The listing exists as its own DLC entry on Steam ("Beast of Reincarnation Pre-Order DLC"), which is what lets us describe its current status precisely.
Its status today
As of 13 August 2026 the Pre-Order DLC page on Steam shows no purchase button and no price — it is no longer obtainable as such. That is the normal afterlife of a preorder SKU. If you preordered, it is in your library; if you did not, that specific door is closed.
The door that is still open: Deluxe DLC, $9.99
Everything the preorder offered — and more — is in the Beast of Reincarnation Deluxe DLC, sold separately at $9.99 as the upgrade path from the standard edition. Contents, exactly as the store lists them:
| Item | Also in the old preorder bonus? |
|---|---|
| Brown Shiba Skin for Koo | Yes — this is the preorder skin |
| Black Shiba Skin for Koo | No — Deluxe only |
| "Oni's Hat" for Emma | No — Deluxe only |
| Emma's sword "Big Dipper" | No — Deluxe only |
| 100,000 Amber | Preorder gave 30,000 — Deluxe more than triples it |
| Vegetable seedlings (several) | No — Deluxe only |
So a launch-window buyer who skipped preordering loses nothing permanent. The one genuinely time-locked thing was the preorder price of those items (free with the order); the items themselves survived as paid content. Whether $9.99 is worth cosmetics and currency is a taste question — our editions page makes the case both ways.
One naming note
The Deluxe sword is "Big Dipper" in English and 北斗星 ("Hokutosei") on the official Japanese store — both official names. Early coverage (including, for a while, this site) sometimes called it "Polaris"; that name appears in no official source, and we have corrected it across our pages.
Japan's physical edition is the special case
In Japan, Happinet publishes a PS5 package edition (¥8,980) whose first-production run encloses a product code — Japanese retail coverage ties the Deluxe items, including the 北斗星 sword, to that code, and retailer-specific extras (canvas boards, straps) vary by shop. We grade the exact code contents as reported-but-secondary: the official listing confirms an enclosed code exists; the item-by-item breakdown comes from retail press rather than the publisher. If you are importing, assume first-run stock specifically, since enclosed-code bonuses traditionally disappear in reprints.
The question behind the question
Most people asking about preorder bonuses are really asking "did I miss something I can never get?" Here the answer is a clean no — and that is worth knowing about this publisher going forward: nothing gameplay-relevant was ever gated behind the preorder, and the cosmetics all resurfaced in a purchasable pack nine days after launch. The pattern rewards waiting for reviews rather than punishing it, which is not something every 2026 release can say.
